For those of you who seek to come alive
- into His marvelous Light

Jesus said "Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in His throne." Revelation 3:20-21

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

When we’re surrounded by living, growing things—when we walk or work amidst the beauty of creation—we somehow feel closer to the Creator Himself. A poet once observed that “only God can make a tree.” Yet when we plant a seed and watch it grow, we feel as though we are His partners—participating with Him in bringing forth new life, sharing in the excitement, the joy, the hope. We can’t help but be filled with a sense of awe and wonder.
But there’s something that can mar that precious beauty—something we must watch for and guard against:
“Weeds are the little vices that beset plant life, and are to be got rid of the best way we know how.” The Farmer’s Almanac, 1881

You know, Jesus said our hearts are like gardens. When the Word of God takes root in us, and His Spirit dwells within us, our hearts can produce beautiful “fruit”.Matthew 13:3-23; John 15:1-8,16 Fruit such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23
But the Bible warns us to guard our hearts against the “thorns” or “weeds”. Proverbs 4:23; Mark 4:7  Seeds of selfishness, greed, and envy. Roots of resentment, bitterness, and unforgiveness. Even seemingly little sins can grow like, well, weeds! They choke the life out of us and destroy the fruit that the Master Gardener has labored to produce in us. Before we know it, our garden is overgrown—no longer a thing of beauty, a reflection of God’s glory, a place of refreshment to others.

That’s why it’s so important for us to tend the garden of our heart daily—watering it with the Word of God, nurturing it with prayer, and rooting out the weeds wherever we may find them. If you’ve been neglecting the garden of your heart lately, it may seem like an overwhelming task. But Jesus has promised to help us:
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. 1 John 1:9
It’s for this very purpose He came to Earth in the first place.

Taking Care of Ourselves is Refreshing!

We all know it helps to sustain our physical bodies if we get adequate sun light, breathe fresh air, drink purified water, and eat organic food. But it's the spirit within us that sustains the physical body. So the highest quality life-giving catalyst for our body and soul is being regenerated with forgiveness and accepting new birth to our own spirit. That is, to come alive!

Jesus Christ is knocking on the door. Who is responding?

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4: 16

Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:5
He came into the world to be a Savior for those who accept Him.
Our souls are lost without a Sheperd.
“All we like sheep have gone astray…” Isaiah 53:6
Jesus says” I am the good Shepherd: the good Shepherd giveth his life for the sheep."John 10:11

He is a loving, personal Savior for those who believe.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13
"... how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Jesus said, "I am the resurrection, and the life: He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11:5

If our greatest need had been information,
God would have sent us an educator.

If our greatest need had been technology,
God would have sent us a scientist.

If our greatest need had been money,
God would have sent us an economist.

If our geratest need had been pleasure,
God would have sent us an entertainer.

But our greatest need was forgiveness,
So God sent us a Saviour. Roy Lessein

The world is so unstable - where can we find refuge?

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in tmes of trouble.  And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 9:9-10

                                Gift of Salvation

                                     GOD CARES

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Our lives are like a sunset...each day passes away. Who we are, and all that we know in our world, is temporary. As much as we may try, we can not hold onto life. For all life is in the hands of
our Creator -  who offers us a gift of perfect love that is everlasting. The good news is there is hope to receive this love and to be spiritually revived. Our conscience knows the guilt of our own hearts and minds; that we cannot escape death. The good news is that through Jesus Christ our souls can be set free. He is a personal Savior who asks us to open the door of our hearts and repent. Repentance is asking Him for forgiveness. No religious or political ruler or doctor can deliver us from a grieving soul. The good news is asking Christ to be our Lord is cleansing and redeeming. Many of us may have experienced religion and were discouraged or disappointed. If so, let's not let it keep us from receiving the true, living message of Christ. Remember,it was the religious leaders who wanted Christ and those who believed in Him as a personal Saviour to be put to death.

God created the heavens and the earth. Yet look how humans are out of balance with the earth - and the heavens. We need so much help to heal ourselves and this planet. We need to open our hearts to the door of what the word of Christ says.
God is Sovereign and by His love he has given us each a free will. Our choices are either to reject His calling or to accept His promise. God’s Son came to give us the key, the gift of deliverance to be free. We can  either choose to remain separate in spirit from our Creator or to humbly open our heart to Him. Perfect love is the law of God. We know, for our conscience tells us, that perfect love is not the way of human nature. Also perfect love does not mix with the rejection of God or His word.

THE GOOD NEWS is an ancient message of hope that still lives on and is especially IMPORTANT for us today in the new age.

God is in His mercy sent His only Son to die for our sinless natures. By the covenant of His grace we can receive the gift of pardon.  Our Savior, like a lamb who was sinless, took on all the sins of mankind and shed His blood - for us.
Although He is God, He stepped out of eternity to live, die  and suffer -  beyond measure - as a human being. He offers us a living, loving gift - a relationship with Him - as we ask and accept His gift of forgiveness for our sins.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15

...We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. Hebrews 2:9

Nature and animals do not rebel against natural laws of the Creator like humans do; and they do respond to how we are living on the planet.
From the beginning humans have resisted God by trying to be like God; by trying to control nature, and the world. Today we humans are on the hot seat, for the manifestation of our lost nature is being more and more reflected back to us on a global scale. What is going on in the world today? Exactly what Christ told us will happen in His prophecies recorded in the Bible. We cannot afford to keep making excuses so let's pay attention. So the question is why would anyone not accept such an inheritance as God’s perfect love?

                  REJOICE IN THE GOOD NEWS!

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. Proverbs 3:13

                          THERE IS HOPE

It is important that we listen to God’s words. For if not, the fruits of our rebellion will continue to be a hardened heart (simply a consequence). If we behave like spoiled children who don’t need a Savior, we will be in shock and awe when reality comes. You may say what reality? The reality of losing the promises by rejecting Him. Have you ever lost someone or something you truly loved? What is that pain within? Life and all of it's treasures are like a passing vapor. No person can save another person from guilt, grief or death. The isolation of sin and the guilt of human nature is clearly a reality; ages and ages of inner turmoil, crisis loneliness and escapism.

As lost sheep need a Sheperd, we need to go directly to Christ to repent and accept His gift of pardon. Believe Him as the risen Christ. Accept Him as Lord and Savior. He died on the cross and shed His blood to deliver us. Depending on our choice, the cross will integrate us with God's love; or not. We are free to choose the path of the soul.

Here is an encouraging word:
HE LIVES! By faith step out of the comfort zone of death, and by grace step into God’s eternal life.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”Ephesians 2:8"
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

                                       REJOICE!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews11:1

Jesus said,

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world." John 16:33

"Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away." Luke 21:33

"The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." Luke 18:27

.....for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Luke 21:25

But you, Daniel (the prophet), shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Daniel 12:4

The good news is there is hope to receive this love and to be spiritually revived.

BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED

It's so easy to live in the land of wishful thinking. "Life would have been better IF. Or life would be wonderful IF."
In contrast with this is the person who finds purpose and satisfaction right where he is. Who has joy and meaning now. Who doesn't live on rose-colored memories or on wishing that one's circumstances would improve but in the joy of the present.
The Bible talks about this kind of life and about some people who have experienced it. It's incredible, but the people it describes had little wealth, a future full of trouble, and a past of despair.
Yet they found a new dimension to life that helped them to get on with living just the way it was and to even bloom right where they were planted.
And not only that, it was so contagious that they shared it. They found in trusting Jesus Christ as Savior a new life that they could never have purchased an that no one could take from them.

You too can discover this new life in which you will find...
...love that is not based on your feelings or merits but on the unending mercies of God. Romans 5:8
...freedom from guilt because Jesus Christ has taken the punishment for your sins. 1 Peter 3:18
...friendship that will never disappoint you because Jesus promised, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5
...a reason for living because following Christ gives true meaning and purpose to life. John 14:6
...an unshakable future firmly based on Christ's promise: "I will come agai." John 14:3
...an eternal home where the killjoys of earth--selfishness, hatred, death--will all be gone. Revelation 21:4
If you would like to put your trust in Jesus Christ, you can pray something like this today:

"Lord, thank you for sending Jesus Christ to die for my sins and rise from the dead so that I can know Your forgiveness and be with You forever. I ask Him to be my Savior so that I can begin to live today in the joy of Your love."   Good News and Crossway
