Hey Everyone,
This is our final week in the "GOD FIRST" series, and we're so glad you've been on this journey with us. We've talked about seeking His kingdom, trusting His provision, and living without worry. This week, we'll be celebrating the ultimate outcome of putting God first: a life of true freedom.
Scripture Focus: Matthew 6:33 (NIV) - "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Study Focus Our theme for this week is The Ultimate Freedom. We'll explore how the call to "seek God first" isn't a burden, but the key to a life free from the endless cycle of worry, anxiety, and stress.

Breaking Down the Verse:
The final look at this verse is about synthesis - the combination of ideas to form a theory. The simple act of putting God first and trusting in His provision results in a life of true freedom. When we know that our Father in heaven will take care of our needs, we are free to love, serve, and live without fear. We're free from the pressure to conform to this world, people and the fear of failure. Romans 12:2 (NLV) says, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you which is good, pleasing and perfect”. This freedom allows us to fully embrace the purpose He has for our lives and the joy to accept His will.
Let’s briefly look at the word FREEDOM. I would say, “Spiritual freedom - is living in alignment with the word of God, your faith, and values, while being free from oppression or any other forced beliefs other than Jesus Christ. Personal freedom - is a deep sense of peace and self-control, even when external circumstances are difficult. Also, relying on the confidence in yourself to trust that God is always in control”. So when I think of freedom - I think of choice. We all have the ability to choose in our lives. And I’ve decided to make Jesus - my choice.
Question for Reflection: Are you choosing to have the ultimate personal freedom in your life? What can you do better to change your thoughts toward God?
A Personal Testimony from Tony Jackson: I will never forget my mother telling me that we can make life hard or we can make it simple. She said, “Tony, life is about your choices”. When I was young I didn’t quite understand the basic, yet wise information she was giving me. She went on to share that life is as simple as one - two. She said, You can choose to do good or bad. You can choose to do right or wrong. You can choose to love or hate. You can choose to speak or be quiet. What I ultimately learned from her in this moment was that I can choose my peace based on my decisions. And this is what I want to share with you. Choose this day to TRUST THE KING, no matter what! He will never leave you nor will He forsake you. As Hebrews 13:8 says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Application for the Week: This week, let's celebrate the freedom that comes with putting God first. Take a moment to thank Him for His provision. Reflect on the areas where you have seen Him at work this month. Let's continue to seek His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that in Him, we have everything we need.
